Nu Rho History
The Legacy Continues . . .
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, The Nu Rho Chapter, was the first Black Greek organization chartered at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The Nu Rho Chapter was chartered on January 17, 1981 by nine phenomenal women. Since its founding, 34 lines have been initiated through Nu Rho.
